New Smyrna Beach, Florida
New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is a beautiful seashore retreat with 13 miles of white, sandy beaches and some of the best fishing on the east coast. Located at the mouth of of the Ponce de Leon Inlet, this central Florida town is known as the "World's Safest Bathing Beach." The 13.2 miles of New Smyrna Beach are protected by rock ledges located offshore. These ledges eliminate the dangerous undercurrents that are common along the Atlantic coast of the United States.
Best of all, New Smyrna Beach is the nearest beach to the world famous attractions such as Walt Disney World, Sea World, Epcot Center, and Universal Studios. These popular Florida family vacation spots are an easy one hour and 15-minute drive from New Smyrna Beach. Daytona Beach, with it's exciting night life, great shopping, motor sports, and motorcycle activities is just a short drive north.

The water provides the backdrop for most of the activities in New Smyrna Beach, a barrier island situated between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean. Ponce de Leon Inlet, providing the only access to the ocean from the IntraCoastal Waterways for many miles, is the start of a great day's deep sea fishing in the nearby Gulf Stream. The white sands beckon the entire family to swim and play on the water's edge, collect sea shells, or sit back and enjoy the sun and surf. Surfing, windsurfing, sailing and pleasure boating await you in New Smyrna Beach.
For the golf enthusiast there are many area golf courses. Try out the 18-hole Municipal Golf Course, Hidden Lakes or Turnbull Bay Golf Course, or play the 27 holes at Sugar Mill Country Club, a Joe Lee designed championship course. Many more excellent courses are nearby.
New Smyrna Beach also offers many cultural events and amenities for art, music, and theater lovers. The area is served by several major airports out of Daytona; Orlando-Sanford International Airport is only a short drive west.
